Your referral has been triaged to the New Patient Orthoptic Children’s Eye Clinic. This is a new clinic which aims to assess your child who may have been referred possibly for reduced vision and/or squint. As a result you will hopefully be seen faster and in a local community setting.

The clinic is based at Clifton Opticians OR Duffy Opticians with (Dr Musart Eliza Awan, (Orthoptist) and Kishor Bardolia (Optometrist) OR Dr Musarat Eliza Awan and John Duffy (Optometrist).

What can the clinic do?
The clinic will assess, investigate and may diagnose your child’s eye condition. Your child may need glasses and a voucher may be issued. Depending on the outcome following your child’s assessment, this will be discussed with the clinicians before you leave the practice with your child regarding their ongoing care. .

Your appointment is booked via the central booking team at LLR who book all of the community clinics. The telephone number is 0116 497 5700 Option 5. Please note do not contact your GP or The Opticians directly to discuss your appointment as the reception/admin staff do not have access to your notes.
